About the event
Are you curious about the sculptural qualities of air dry clay? Join The Clever Corvid at The Bird House and learn all about a variety of techniques that could also be applies to any other clay work you may consider in the future (such as kilned stoneware). We will take the time to explore the history of clay, the qualities of this medium, its uses, its limitations and a variety of ways it can be manipulated, painted and adorned. I will also talk about my experience with "primitive" clay, extracted right here on the land, and the success I have had sculpting with it. This is a 4 session workshop for adults. Anyone aged 14 and older is welcome to join.
